Live from the Red Lion's Passion of the Weiss series continues with the maestro himself, Jeff Weiss.
Jeff is a writer, as well as founder of POW Records, and all around well-to-do guy. You can find his writing at passionweiss.com and pretty much everywhere else.
Jeff joined us on the Red Lion patio to usher in the dystopian autumn over whiskey, Bitburger, and Fish & Chips. In this episode we discuss the weather, what it means to run a record label, music writing, Jeff’s experience tracking down legendary Beat writers, politics, and why we should all run off to the woods and turn off our phones until AL FRANKEN becomes president.
We hit the classic LFTRL segments like the Kit Kat Quick Chat, In The Pooches, ON THE RECORD, and Street Sweepin’ (sadly no Four Points this episode). Since Jeff previously hosted a podcast called Shots Fired, we spend a lot of time on the SHITS FIRED segment. No one is safe. Not even FOUR TET, who sucks.
As always, shout out to the Red Lion staff and all of our In The Points listeners in Pakistan and elsewhere around the world. We might not be the best podcast ever but we’re certainly the most well-edited.
ITP COFFEE MUGS COMING SOON. STAY TUNED.
Look out for Jeff's book ‘Waiting For Britney Spears,’ which we briefly discuss on the podcast, to come out some time next year. And look out for a Live from The Red Lion BOX SET vinyl to come out on POW records next year.
