By having a conscious meltdown, you have a constructive way of feeling all the fears and all the anger, but in the end, getting grounded in your adult mindset. Along the way, the emotions are physically flushed from the body, and the thoughts that went along with them are examined in the light of consciousness.

This episode shows a conscious way to find safe harbor in the midst of storms, wherever you may be. It is an exercise in self-awareness and self-acceptance.
Episode 9 Show NotesHello, my name is Roxanne Darling, and this is In The Transition podcast. Today is episode 9 and I'm doing a deep dive into the topic of safety. This is the issue we face when times seem out of control and confusing, even at times frightening. The Transition in Conscious has some insights here that have helped me relieve anxiety and understand the starting point for feeling safe.
Much like the lighthouse image I'm using for the podcast cover art, the short answer is that when the waves are crashing around me, I go inside, to a metaphorical lighthouse to create calm and get a larger view of what's happening 'out there.' That's all for today's episode. I appreciate you for listening and hanging out with me here in the transition. And remember, none of this matters. Your most courageous act may be unconditional self-acceptance.
Please note: I like to include about a minute of music at the end of each episode to allow listeners to stay "in the zone" of the podcast, giving you additional time to rest and integrate.
Thank you for being You.
This is my first interview episode. I love talking to people about the Transition in Consciousness and how to use the ideas in practical, on the ground ways. My guest is Bridget Hinman - the Fairy Liaison at Unicorn Square on Maui. We actually recorded this almost a year ago; the messages are as timely as ever.

Episode 8 Show NotesHello, my name is Roxanne Darling, and this is In the transition podcast. Today is episode eight and I'm having a conversation with Bridget Henman from Unicorn Square. If this is your first time listening, please visit my website inthetransition.com, to learn more. You can also tweet or Instagram me @roxannedarling. In today's episode, you have the immense pleasure of meeting my friend Bridget, who is the fairy liaison at Unicorn Square on Maui. How's that for a job title? The mission of her company is to cultivate self acceptance, gratitude and being in nature.
She shares some very unusual, and for me, mind blowing tips about dealing with children who are acting up and we talk a lot about the adult, the kid and the soul you link to my ebook on the three us in the show notes. We take some of the fantasy gloss the kids have about what it means to be divine and explore practical ways that we as adults can tap into more consciousness and personal power. So let's have a listen and enjoy the birds singing in the background.

In today’s episode, I am embedding a copy of a talk I gave in Feb 2017 on Maui at a live event for Valentine’s Day. The overall theme was how do we have a more conscious approach to love - both individually and in the community?
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the concept as part of my personal process in learning about codependency. I also came to discover that the advice John Lennon has been giving us all these years might be actually be mis-directed.

In today’s episode, I’m going to attempt to answer a common question: Why did God let this happen? By asking a different question: What if God doesn’t owe us anything? What if we’re here by mutual agreement with God, to have amazing and unexpected experiences? Let's figure out how to have an expanded version of Spirit, God, Higher Power, that supports each of us in all we do, have, feel, and experience.
Show Notes:
So what if this Godness is more like a cheerleader than a helicopter parent, an energy who supports us humans in trying anything we want, regardless of the outcome?
What if this Godness respects our humanity to the fullest and knows with 100% certainty that even if we face death, the most final act, that we all will face, that we will then return to the divine and we can incarnate and try again?
What if this Godness supports our complete and total freedom to explore the depths of who we are and what we want to try?
What if this Godness considers nothing a failure but instead just another outcome?

I’m sharing how I get off my case while being a highly sensitive person who cares about the world! I’m constantly tweaking how to use my influence, while not getting overwhelmed by taking on too much responsibility for things that are out of my control.
I seriously think there are easier ways to effect change than by having me do so much heavy lifting. If you too are concerned with your role in the state of the world, I hope this episode offers a little uplifting tonic. Plus, I’ll be talking about one of my favorite podcasts, Ear Hustle! SHOW NOTES:
So basically I’m going to take another stab at popping the binary balloon of “how things work.” It’s really not about right or wrong, even though we focus a lot on that way of thinking. Some recent news from the Ear Hustle inspired me to want to talk about this stuff. Co-host and San Quentin inmate, Earlonne Woods, had his sentence commuted by California governor Jerry Brown a few days ago. I believe that there is a positive connection to all the work he did and the thousands of listeners who engaged with him via the podcast. That connection is in the energy realm, not the signing petitions or going on hunger strikes realms.

SHOW NOTES:
Here is a transcript of the guided meditation in this episode.
This meditation is dedicated to those dealing with loss.
I realize I know nothing of your situation. I am clueless and ignorant of your struggles. And yet I his I can offer this.
May you find unlimited open-minded thinking and open-hearted loving, that these things can orient you in times of futility, that they may be the tiniest start of new things to come, that they may feed the part of you that feels hopeless and forever lost.
This is painful ‘now.” But it is only now. New moments are forming, most we cannot see or even feel yet. But they are there. This moment of now is changing, too.
Breathing in, and breathing out. Breathing in, and breathing out. Even if the air itself is foul, the tiniest and calmest of breaths is a reminder you are still here. Even though you may have doubts about wanting to be here. Even though you may have lost friends, you may have lost family, you may have lost personal belongings. This is the phase of ‘nothing makes any sense.’ It will give way to another phase, and things will start to make sense, in time.
May you feel the open-minded thinking and the open-hearted loving I send to you.
May your heart provide a home for you in times of loss and confusion.
May your spirit be lifted even when your hopes are down.
May you find some peace in the midst of the pain you find yourself in.
May the cracks let in the light and bring unimaginable changes for you.
May you find some rest in moments large and small.
May you remember that all beings are divine.
May you trust in your own strengths and take solace in knowing you are loved.
May you know that I am thinking of you, caring for you, doing things for you, even though you may not see or feel it.
May you trust in your own strengths and take solace in knowing you are loved.

How do I build this trust in being selfishly true to myself, practicing radical self-acceptance and self-awareness? I decided to believe the game of life is rigged in my favor. But what does that actually mean? How does that actually work in the Transition Game? A full transcript is available on my website.

SHOW NOTES:
Today’s notes are summarized in these quotes from the episode:
"The game of life is rigged in your favor." Rumi
“There were many terrible things in my life, but most of them never happened.” Michel de Montaigne
"The best way to predict the future is to create it." Peter Drucker, Abraham Lincoln
"The best way to predict the future, is to occupy the present." Roxanne Darling
"Our help is usually not very helpful. Our help is often toxic. And help is the sunny side of control. Stop helping so much. Don't get your help and goodness all over everybody." Anne Lamott
"Radical self-acceptance: No pressure to be or do anything. No need to be liked, understood, accepted, or respected." Roxanne Darling
Closing comment from episode 3:
Playing in the Transition has helped me settle into the Present, accept what is, and stop fighting reality. I think it makes total sense, especially when I remember the three points from this episode:
One – The Universe is 100% for me.
Two – I find my power in the Present.
Three – There is nothing wrong with me.
To wrap things up, I want to share, a meaty little mantra to chew on until the next episode:
This must be perfect, otherwise it wouldn’t be happening.
Thank you for being You.
Love, Rox
