- 278: Android to standardize USB-C Power Delivery!!Thank you Google!! Having standards isn't bad, it provides for a great user experience across the vast amount of devices underneath the Android umbrella. This is a good thing because USB type-C is a mess./\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\ /\/\/\/\/\Let's continue our discussion!Follow me on Twitter at @dexter_johnson and visit http://DexJohnsPC.com to stay on top of my latest blog posts about the world of technology.Share this podcast with a friend!Links: https://www.theverge.com/2019/10/7/20902889/google-android-digital-wellbeing-parental-controls-usb-c-pd-charging-requirementsIntro music details:Track: Pure — KV [Audio Library Release]Music provided by Audio Library PlusWatch: https://youtu.be/6q57kOJuJRcFree Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/Pure6 min
- 277: California cares about deepfakes! Thanks California for setting an example. Recently Governor Newsom signed a law that will punish those that create deepfakes published with the intent to misguide. This is a great step forward, but California cannot be the only state to do it! ||Let's continue our discussion! - 276: Water-resistance vs Waterproof! They ARE different!Misleading headlines really bug me and reading article after article touting a phone or similar device as being waterproof and just wrong -- simple. Waterproof devices don't need IP ratings, because they're just impervious to the stuff; however, water-resistant devices need these ratings to show the difference in levels of exposure that they can be subject to. Don't be fooled my friends. ||Let's continue our discussion! - 275: YouTube Music, the default Android music player!!It's been in the works, but as of Android 10, YouTube Music now takes the place of Google Play Music as the platform's defacto music player. It's clunky but it's there. What are you using? ||Let's continue our discussion! - 274: Is Google Play Pass equal to Apple Arcade plus apps?Essentially. Google Play Pass is capitaliizing on Apple Arcadd by attemtping to one up them by offering apps as well. There are so many reasons why this is a great idea!! ||Let's continue our discussion! - 273: Apple Watch Series 5 Impressions!!If you have an Apple Watch Series 3 and earlier or another tracking wearable, it may be time to upgrade. Alwayo display truly makes this latest iteration the primary wearable an iOS user should buy.14 min
- 272: iOS 13 has bugs but Apple Arcade is GREAT!!iOS 13 was rushed, this is no secret so b aware if you update to it; however, it brings interesting new features such as: enhanced Bluetooth controls, dark mode, animoji stickers, FaceID speed improvements and a huge shake up to gaming, Apple Arcade!10 min
- 271: Stop the swatting!!When you're an adult, you behave as an adult. There's no need to get upset over online interactions and games -- swatting is juvenile. That's exactly what happened, unfortunately, to one Young man that led to guys untimely and uncalled for death. ||Let's continue our discussion! - 270: Cord-cutting hurts the big boys!Consumers have a RIGHT to watch what they want and how they want it -- we are the ones paying for it, right? Additionally, we shouldn't have to pay for channels that we don't watch, which is why we've seen huge upticks in popularity of streaming services. With that being said, AT&T's acquisition of DirecTV hasn't been playing out too well. ||Let's continue our discussion! - 269: YouTube kid-friendly content rules | Understandable, but concerned.Precedent is key. Creators deserve to be creative, but kids really shouldn't be targeted (no one should be over targeted to the extent that we are today). With this mentality of making everything PC should we worry about creating content in the future? ||Let's continue our discussion!
