Just because summer is ending doesn’t mean the funs ending. Remember that when one season ends a new one begins. You can still have fun, you can still accomplish goals. Extend summer into your lifestyle so that you always are having something to look forward to!

We all want to be happy right? Well it’s a lifelong pursuit, and there are steps. As we work toward happiness remember that is first had to come from within in order to transcend! And happy times may not be present all the time but they come around often.

People often misinterpret us. Maybe it’s because we misinterpret ourselves. Showing up transparent and vulnerable is easier said than done but it’s necessary. Growing requires honesty in who you’ve been so it can help with who you’re trying to be!

Sometimes an apology fixes everything, and maybe it fixes nothing. But still it’s necessary. So many times apologies are skipped over because of pride, but what if they weren’t? Healing is on the other side of receiving that apology. Growth is on the other side of giving that apology.

The age old saying… Parents just don’t understand. Or do they? Is it us the children that really don’t understand? As we grow up we start to learn our parents outside of being just OUR parents. Does that mean we’re raising them or does it just mean we’re learning who they are and teaching them who we are?

In connection to “I don’t need therapy…OKAY!” and Men’s Mental Health month we’re talking about the unspeakable…. CRYING! As people we have forgotten that crying is okay. It’s actually necessary. And we need to start creating space for ourselves individually and collectively to cry more. Release the trauma, and face the drama. Just cry a little, you’ll feel better!

Black people this is for you! Know that nobody is like us and we deserve to rest in knowing that! But also remember as we transition through life most people are not like us and we learn to either deal or not deal. They may not be like us but we able to still build and better for and because of each other!
