FOLLOW US ON TWITTER: @PODONLANSDOWNE . With the offseason under way, let's talk about some potential solutions to the Boston Red Sox's woes. Do we want Nathan Eovaldi extended? Will Kodai Senga be pitching at Fenway Park in 2023? How about a deal for Bryan Reynolds? Yeesh, enough with the questions already.
Instead of all those questions, you can bask in the riffs about the hit song from The Princess Diaries, "Miracles Happen (When You Believe" by Myra.

Long time no talk, pals! A whole ass World Series was played since we last spoke! Let's not waste a ton of time talking about that!
Xander Bogaerts still has not been extended by the Boston Red Sox. That's not ideal. So let's talk about it--and how this is a make or break offseason for one Chaim Bloom.
Let's also make fun of the Los Angeles Angels' front office, cherish the classic tune "Marlins Will Soar," and chat about Weezer, and more.

The Yankees are dead: FIRE UP THE BACKWOOD!!
Let us laugh at how pathetic the New York Yankees are. Let us laugh at how clueless Aaron Boone is. Let us laugh at how ridiculously outplayed the entire team was on their way to being swept by the Astros. Let us smile as we realize this as this current iteration of the Bronx Bombers is gonna get.
Plus, with the Phillies winning the NL pennant, we took a moment to look back on the legacy of Dave Dombrowski's tenure in Boston.

-Dancing On My Own isn't a Red Sox song anymore, I fear
    -Our World Series picks

Aaron Civale could not shut down the Yankees and now the Astros are the only hope for a New York pennant-less 2022.
In the meantime, let's talk about the playoff weekend that was: Fitz's viral Costas tweet, complaints about the playoff format, how damn good the 2019 Houston Astros were, and our thotz on the League Championship Series matchups.

We also talked about reviving some Red Sox mascots, Smiling Friends, and the best hats of the baseball teams who qualified for the 'yoffs. Not necessarily in that order, mind you.

The final episode of Pod On Lansdowne for the 2022 regular season, while delayed, is here. It's the the final episode ever of Pod On Lansdowne--much to the dismay of the haters and loser--but it's time to close the book on the most recent Red Sox campaign.
For a year that was as disappointing as it was, the last day of the season packed quite an emotional punch. JD probably saying bye, Xander maybe saying bye, and Eck definitely saying bye? Man....let's unpack all of that.
We also give some postseason thotz, pitch the idea of the Irish and the Italians playing a ball bat game against each other, and more.
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING ALL SEASON!!!!!!! We'll be hanging around during the offseason for more fun, and before you know it we'll be ready for Opening Day 2K23!!

The Boston Red Sox have officially been eliminated from playoff contention, just as the 2022 regular season comes to a close. Let's take a look at who we can expect to stick around for 2023 and beyond, and who might be calling it a Sox career after just a few more days.
We also discussed the best avenues for the Red Sox to address key holes in the roster going into the offseason, especially pitching--buddy, they need pitching.
And who doesn't like a lil' state fun fact talk, huh?! Let's find out some cool things about Massachusetts and Maryland (and Delaware for a hot second, too).

Not much to talk about when it comes to the Boston Red Sox as we move towards October, huh? We play the Yankees this upcoming weekend. That's kinda neat I guess.
Kevin Plawecki's gone and some players are quite upset about that. Let's talk about that. Let's also talk about how cool Xander Bogaerts is.
I dunno man. I've gotta be honest: I've got something that feels like the flu. I'm having a tough go at it but I still record because I'm built different. But you're just gonna have to tune in and see what we have in store for ya.
