Massent returns with a heavyweight statement on Inception Audio, delivering two deep-space rollers that push minimal drum and bass into darker and more cinematic territory. “Matrix” and “Nano Levels” are built with precision, atmosphere, and an unmistakable futuristic identity that feels completely locked into the label’s forward-thinking sound.

“Matrix” opens the release with a cold, mechanical energy. The track rolls effortlessly with stripped-back drum programming, deep sub pressure, and hypnotic percussion that keeps the groove moving without ever overcrowding the mix. What makes it stand out is the detail hidden inside the atmosphere — eerie synth textures, distant sci-fi transmissions, and alien sound design create the feeling of drifting through abandoned space stations somewhere beyond the edge of the galaxy. It’s minimal, but every sound has purpose. The production is razor sharp, allowing the low-end to breathe while the haunting effects wrap around the listener.

“Nano Levels” takes things even deeper. The groove is darker, more immersive, and driven by a futuristic tension that never lets up. Massent balances restraint with intensity perfectly here, using subtle movement and rolling bass patterns to build a track that feels alive from start to finish. The out-of-planet sound palette gives the tune a cinematic edge, with glitchy textures and atmospheric layers that pull you further into its world. It’s a track designed for late-night systems and heads-down dancefloor moments.

Across both tracks, the production quality is exceptional. Massent shows a deep understanding of space, dynamics, and minimalism, proving that heavy drum and bass doesn’t need to rely on chaos to hit hard. The collaboration alongside Inception Audio feels natural, with the label continuing to champion artists who push deeper and darker styles while maintaining cutting-edge sound design.

This release is another strong example of where modern deep drum and bass is heading — stripped-back, rolling, immersive, and cinematic. Massent takes it to the next level with “Matrix” and “Nano Levels,” delivering a release that feels futuristic while staying rooted in powerful underground energy.
