IA032 - Inception Audio - Grim Hellhound - Image Around EP

Images - This one is for the head nodders out there. With its lyrical hook matched with a slow build of breaks and warping sonics that swirl and slowly rise and fall over the whole track it is easy to get lost in all of its complexity. During all of those shifts one thing that stays constant is the depth of funk that is layered thoughout.

Torn - Restraint is a word that comes to mind when describing this song. By stripping down the break and fills to its most pure form, it finds its own space with plenty of room to let the track breath and just exist.

Way - If there were a soundtrack of what life would be like on a deep space tanker craft traveling to the farthest known depths of the universe to deliver suplies to outposts on the edge of the galxy, this would be it. The way the crisp drums play off of the riverbed FX textures of the percussive fills and stretched mid-bass will have you signing up for the next mission to Galaxy SW-99.

Inception Audio - IA031 - Elizar Mel - Reptoids

Reptoids - As night falls and the other worlds release their spirits among us, they slither and move among us as we sleep. Just like this exercise of percussive movement, the elements move in and out of focus as we try to catch a stolen glimpse of the images they conjure.

Destruction of Ecosystems - This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System for the end of the world. Alien like vocal samples, crisp and relentless drums, menacing drones, acid squelches, and enough drive and tension to make anyone pay attention. The end is near, and this is the last thing you may hear.

Peripheral Space - Like riding an overnight train with a serial killer onboard, this one will have you looking over your shoulder as the sleeping world passes outside of your window. Pulsing kicks, drawn out synths, decaying and twisting filtered pads all add up to one paranoid masterpiece of someone in your space but just out of view.

Worship - As day breaks, we gather to honor our elders and the spirits that have shaped us. We methodically give praise and worship to the gods they have shared and taught us about. We walk among the living and non-believers with their guidance and vision and this is what we listen to as we do.
