I spoke with Mary Borman who was the first person with Down syndrome to attend the University of Arkansas and who is breaking many barriers and who is an awesome advocate. She is also the first person with Down syndrome to model in NWA Fashion Week. She also swims competitively both nationally and internationally with Special Olympics and the Down Syndrome International Swimming Organization and is a public speaker.

Today I talk with Amy Baker the owner of Pizzabilities and her daughter Grace Baker who works there. Amy is a mom and her daughter Grace is a young woman with Down syndrome. Amy created pizzabilities to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to have a positive welcoming work experience.

I speak with Patrice Jetter and Garry Wickham who are both powerhouses for the disability community and are the stars of “Patrice: The Movie” that is on Hulu. The movie has  been nominated for an Emmy award.

In this episode I speak with Professor Kara Ayers, who is a Writer, Speaker, Wife and Mom of three children. Professor Ayers accomplished all of this while also having Osteogenesis Imperfecta. She is currently The Director for The Center For Disability, Equity & Intersectionality.
