“Sales is just having a human-to-human conversation to decide whether or not you can help each other, but people tend to overthink it,” says Brandon Cockrell. In today’s episode, your hosts Brandon and Misty, break down a simple way to increase the success of your sales calls.

According to Brandon, the first thing to do on any sales call is to get the buyer’s guard down. You want the potential buyer to trust you enough to open up about their motives and once you understand what is driving them, you can assess whether or not you would be a good fit to work together.

Misty suggests approaching your calls with the idea of closing the sale in the back of your mind. First ask them who they are, what they anticipate from you, and what their goals for their business are. Being honest and transparent from the beginning will show the client that you are authentic, humble, and easy to work with.
