Martinez, who is a certified Family Peer Advocate helps parents through her own life experience, she is raising two children with disabilities, find the services, skills and voice to advocate for their families. Martinez says many parents who are coping with the stigma and embarrassment of a disability are looking for a person with a similar experience to guide them.
