Anderson also talks with Marie Phillips, Bille’s home health aide. Billie, who has a learning disability, shared her journey from an unsafe living situation to a secure and positive environment at Seneca Meadows with some miraculous outcomes.

Martinez, who is a certified Family Peer Advocate helps parents through her own life experience, she is raising two children with disabilities, find the services, skills and voice to advocate for their families. Martinez says many parents who are coping with the stigma and embarrassment of a disability are looking for a person with a similar experience to guide them.
