The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the confirmation from God of the reality of His love, its sincerity and holiness. Everything necessary for sinners to be rescued and declared righteous has been provided by Jesus Christ death, burial, and resurrection.--In the crucifixion God's wrath against sin has been revealed becoming the backdrop of His love. God speaks of His wrath against sin and His love for sinners in His Word. How they are are resolved without compromise, contradiction, or change in God's character is seen in the cross of Jesus Christ. The matter at hand for all humanity is will you believe in Him and receive God's love-

God has revealed His evaluation of man in declaring all have sinned. He has revealed His wrath against sin, unrighteousness, and ungodliness. He has revealed the gospel that He has provided as the way for any man to be forgiven and declared righteous. That provision is available to all and for all, but must be individually and personally availed of by faith in Jesus Christ. God has also revealed that suppressing the truths He has revealed brings on His judgment, a judgment that begins as He turns those suppressing the truth over to their sin. To have God, in effect, step back and let man have all the sin he wants is judgment as the consequences of that sin will bring destruction in this life and eternal damnation in the 'existence' to come. The spiral into sin is dark, deadly, and devoid of any recourse apart from the grace of God and turning from that sin to Him. God has spoken.

The Preacher, Solomon the King of Israel, wrote life lessons as the wisest man who ever lived apart from Jesus Christ. He told God's people how to live wisely in a world under the curse of God because of sin and among a fallen people.--Work with toils and difficulties is God's plan. God intends work to be enjoyed even though it is difficult. God also intends the benefits of work to be enjoyed. While God's people should not live for pleasure, they should have pleasure in their living. Realizing God gives work, benefits from work, and joy serves to encourage the believer to endure and keep at the tasks at hand. Also to be remembered is the temporal nature of the good and the bad as neither lasts forever and God is in control of the conditions, nature, and timing of every circumstance.

In speaking of God's Son, about whom the gospel he proclaims is centered on, Paul addresses Him as God's Son who became the son of David. He did so to take on humanity to become the Savior of of humanity. God appointed Jesus, His Son, with power by His resurrection from the dead. The power to bring salvation hinged on His resurrection from the dead.--Paul had as his goal for proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ was for those who hear and believe to be obedient to the faith.

The brevity of man's life is contrasted with the permanence of the elements of the world he lives in. In so doing, the fact of man's life being relatively transitory does not necessarily mean it is without value or meaning. God intends His people to enjoy life while on the earth as He provides the means to do so even through the trials, struggles, disappointments, and pressures that come. The time given to live out those days has been determined by God as a part of His purpose for the life given. What is evident, even by observation, is that man goes and comes while the earth remains.

The theme of the letter to the Romans is the gospel of God. Written from Corinth to this church in Rome that Paul, the author, had never visited, he gives a detailed explanation of the gospel. In it, after his introduction, he begins with the condemnation every person is under as a sinner. He then explains how God justifies the sinner, how that sinner who is justifies is then to live a life of increasing sanctification, how the nation of Israel fits into God's plan of salvation, and he concludes with practical instructions believers are responsible for in living out the new life given.
