A conversation with young carver and artist at Jilamara Arts and Crafts Association, Walter Brooks. Walter uses locally sourced ironwood and earth pigments to make tokwampini (birds), figurative works which represent the Tiwi creation story, tutuni poles and ceremonial spears and joins us to discuss the new exhibition, Warnarringa, Japarra, Amintiya, Japalinga – Sun, Moon & Stars.

A conversation with early childhood educator, author and Biripi man Adam Duncan, who, along with illustrator Paul Lao, has just released The Bunyip and the Stars, a children’s picture book that is described as part Sky Country creation story, and part exciting adventure tale. In the second half of the show Krystal shares several yarns about sky knowledge, focusing particularly on the Earth’s moon and how it is viewed and used in different communities across the country.
