New Jersey has just joined the dozen or so states that are now issuing driver's licenses to residents regardless of immigration status. There is no separate or special process immigrants have to go through to obtain a license. Immigrant drivers will have to pass a written test, eye examine, and have three months of supervised driving to be eligible for the road test. Should immigrants be granted driver’s licenses?
