Our perspective of Indo-Chinese Relations

International relations between India and China have been historically shaky at best. The Indo-Chinese wars in the 1900s have left the countries on bad terms, however, relations are improving through globalization and trade. We want to focus on the internal stigmas and misconceptions that exist among Asians, specifically between Indians and Chinese. Dev and Nicole are both Asian, yet their cultures have stereotypes against each other. In this podcast, we aim to interview Indian and Chinese international students to get their opinions on opposing cultures. We will also ask how they think the internal stigma has influenced the relations between India and China, their opinion of the other culture, and how this opinion has changed after coming to CMC. We would like to further understand how these preconceived notions affect the diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.
