Our beliefs about God, our lives, and our identities were formed long before we were conscious enough to understand them.
In this episode we talk about indoctrination: training a person to believe something without any critical questioning. Although we can’t fault our parents for it, we were indoctrinated into Christianity as children, and understanding that fact has greatly helped us deconstruct from it.
We talk about why childrens' brains are so sensitive to indoctrination, why those early-set beliefs have lasting significance, and how doing inner child work has helped us move past our past.
