In Indonesian, order is formed by using acting word with a rising intonation. For example: • Baca buku itu! (Read that book!); • Bangun, hari sudah siang! (Get up, it is already late!); • Ambil gambar kera-kera itu, Bill! (Take the pictures of those monkeys, Bill!); Pergi! (Go!). To make it more polite, you can add the particle "-lah" to the verb. (Have you had your lunch?); "Kapan KALIAN berlibur ke Yogyakarta?" (When will you take vacation in Yogyakarta?). You can also use the combination of names of relatives and terms of professions to address people, such as in: "PAK sopir" (driver); "ABANG becak" (becak/pedicab driver); "PAK guru" (male teacher); and so on. Another way is using the name of the addressee, such as in: "Semoga berhasil, Bill!" (Good luck, Bill!).
