In 2020 I was sent a wireless Qi charger base station but I didn't have anything that could make use of it. I found that one of my junk bin inductors could be used to power a microcontroller and a few LEDs. Surprisingly this worked in spite of the lack of any Qi compliant power negotiation circuitry.
