A lot of AI sales conversations start with the same promise:
save time improve productivity drive revenue.
But if you’re selling into industrial or enterprise environments, that’s not the question people are asking.
They’re asking:
What will this cost us to implement?
What internal time will it take?
How much of our team’s attention will this pull away from other work?
That matters because most large organizations are already building their own AI infrastructure.They have internal teams.
They have workflows. They have data in AWS or Azure. They have people who are already trying to solve the same problem from the inside.
So when an external vendor comes in with a product that costs $100K or $200K a year, the buyer isn’t just comparing software features.
They’re comparing the total cost of ownership.
And in many cases, the real friction is not the product price.
It’s the effort required to make it work inside their world.
That’s why “we have agents” is not a value proposition.
It’s a label.
If you want real traction, you have to go deeper than the technology and get clear on the actual problem you’re solving.
