We dive into all of it and revisit one of my favorite segments: bad audition stories! Teddy and his wife also had Covid and talked about their experience with that horrific illness.

JRS Happy Hour Conversations!

May 12th: DDO Theatrical Agent ANTHONY BOYER.

After a career as a music director and conductor, Anthony transitioned to the representation world in 2007, working his way up through the ranks until November 2013, when he started the west coast theatrical division of DDO Artists Agency. In that capacity, Anthony works with a tightly-woven team of theatrical agents in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles to create opportunities for their clients in television, film, and theatre. Among his clients are Tony Award winners and nominees, heads of large touring companies, series regulars on network television, and high-profile film actors. He is proud of helping to instill a culture at DDO that is constantly pushing to amplify underheard voices, and to teach actors to self-advocate and to tell their unique stories.

(1:21) May 5th: Actor JOE MANGANIELLO

Joe began his professional film career playing Flash Thomspon in Sam Raimi's Spiderman. His breakout role came in the form of werewolf Alcide Herveaux, on five seasons of the HBO series True Blood. Manganiello is also known for his roles in films such as Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL, Pee-wee's Big Holiday, What to Expect When You're Expecting, and Sabotage, among others. In late 2013, he became a published author with his first book, Evolution. His directorial debut came in 2014 with the documentary feature La Bare, which he also produced and financed. Manganiello is also known for his role in How I met Your Mother as Brad. In 2017 he won an Emmy as the narrator of the documentary Pittsburgh Is Home: The Story of the Penguins, which documented the first 50 years of history of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. In 2016, Manganiello was cast as Slade Wilson / Deathstroke in the DC Extended Universe, making his first appearance in 2017's Justice League.

Showrunner Josh Corbin (REPRISAL, STARTUP) joins Brian to share what it's like and lessons learned from getting to make the show he'd been dreaming about for years. Along the way we talk about classic noir, Josh's favorite b-movies, and what it's like to showrun from across the country.
