Today we'll visit the RecruitingHell Reddit group and we'll talk about company reviews. I do believe in reading company reviews, but with a critical eye. If you notice a surge of 5 star reviews in the same week, that doesn't mean the company is great, it means the company has incentivized reviews in some way. Maybe a pizza party? But I would read them, especially if you are psyched about a job because a lot of the red flag warnings about "culture" end up in the 1-star reviews. A few of them? Maybe disgruntled ex-employees. But many hitting on the same theme? These people just got out of a cult they're begging you not to join!
