The second is Brian Pennie, a writer, speaker and life change strategist. It wasn’t always this way however. On October 8th 2013, he experienced his first day clean after 15 years of chronic heroin addiction. Instead of perceiving his addiction as a failure, he embraced a second chance at life and went to university to study the complexities of human behaviour.
He’s won several academic awards, including a fully-funded PHD Scholarship at Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience. He’s also working on a few books at the moment, and he’s speaking regularly now at various conferences, seminars, and events around the world.

Lastly we have Michael Thompson, the person to blame for me knowing Brian or Liz in the first place. Michael helps clients win opportunities through building the right relationships. His work regarding career advice, leadership and communication has appeared in places like Fast Co, Forbes, INC, Crunchbase, The Blog of Steven Pressfield and many more.
His recent article, How to Wake Up Smiling: The 9 Decisions That Led To A Life I Love, went mega viral on Medium attracting well over 50,000 views over the span of a few days if I’m not mistaken. It was the most popular article on all of Medium at one point, which is no small feat in the least.
