Influencer Brand Deals Suck: How To Earn More From Your Audience
If you're an influencer, or have any kind of online audience (like me), chances are you've wished for more brand deals, or companies coming to you because they want to throw some cash at you to promote their stuff to your audience.Well, I'm here to tell you that there's a better way.I'm not saying that you can't make a living from being an influencer. We all know that there are a ton of influencers out there cashing in on this marketing trend, some who are bringing in millions by promoting other brand's stuff.When you're promoting another company's products or services, the problem is that you're effectively only earning a percentage of that sale. You may not be earning a commission, but a brand is only allocating a percentage of each targeted sale to their marketing efforts with influencers, not all of a sale.So that means you're only earning a percentage of your total earning ability, over-and-above what you could be making. And here's where I share why earning 100% of a sale, is much better than a smaller cut.This is something I have a ton of personal experience with, having started a podcasting business as an influencer myself.
