Infodumping VS Overexplaining: Knowing the difference and why we do it| #146

Listen Later

In this episode, Caitlin Liz Fisher (they/them) unpacks the difference between infodumping and overexplaining, especially when navigating life as a neurodivergent human. Caitlin gets real about how these communication styles can show up, how we often end up overexplaining because we're trying sooo hard NOT to be misunderstood, and why it's okay to ask for clarity instead of overloading the convo with details.

They share some personal stories about direct communication in relationships (which, btw, is such a game-changer) and how asking, "Did I make sense?" can save a lot of anxiety. Plus, if you love to infodump about your special interests, Caitlin's got some neat tips on when and where it’s cool to unleash your deep knowledge.

PS - WE GOT BIG NEWS!
