The business processes of e-commerce heavily depend on Information Systems (IS) to fulfill the business, customers, and stakeholders’ strategic needs. In e-business, business strategies are built around strategic needs (i.e. data, human resources, processes, and technology). In the context of e-business solutions, we consider the following strategies to suit our needs:​

  • Cost leadership: We use IS to reduce the cost of doing business and to lower prices of products sold in our storefronts to achieve a competitive advantage.​
  • Strategic Alliance: We use IS to create and enhance relationships with our suppliers and logistic partners through enterprise business applications.​

    • Our objective is to achieve the above strategies through business transformation.
