Joseph Krull, CISSP, CISA, IAM, CRISC, and CIPP, is an advisor to financial services companies and early-stage technology start-ups.

His expertise is focused on cybersecurity, privacy, and IT risk. He splits his time between San Antonio, Texas, and Tel Aviv, Israel, and has more than 46 years of experience. Mr. Krull is a frequent speaker at international events, and a contributor to cyber and audit professional organizations in the U.S. and Europe.

He has worked in 115 countries and has provided cyber consulting to large enterprises on four continents. Most recently, he was a senior cyber industry analyst for Aite-Novarica Group.

Previously he was Principal Director at Accenture Security, where he focused helping large companies formulate their cybersecurity strategies. Prior to Accenture, Mr. Krull held a leadership role with a Big Four, a senior role at an application security vendor, and led his own company focused on reducing security risk to telecommunications companies.

Prior to consulting, Mr. Krull was the chief information security officer at three Global 1000 companies, and he served as an operations officer and military attaché at seven U.S. Embassies.

Mr. Krull is a board member for the U.S. National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition and is a graduate of the United States Foreign Service Institute.

He has a background as a human intelligence (HUMINT) collector for the U.S. Army and as a combat Veteran. Christopher graduated from the Defense Language Institute with a specialization in Arabic.  

Chris is also Advisory Council member at NightDragon, a venture capital firm investing in and advising late-state and growth companies, providing a platform of growth for the next-generation of cybersecurity, safety, security and privacy companies.  Very excited to chat with him and discuss the challenges being faced by him and his team within their industry and beyond!
