The Defender's find themselves in the middle of the Maiden's Depths, an inland sea, trying to find a Tower of Scordrennar.  Storms, shadows, and undead, try to stop them, and a fateful decision is made that could impact the entire world.

From past to present, we take a look a closer look at each Defender, and we see how the mess at the base of the Scordrenaar tower pans out.

As the Defenders return to the Scoredrennar tower, Sildren does his best to complete the genocide of the low-level orc aggressors.  Some unwelcome guests show up, and then some more unwelcome guests show up.  And all of a sudden. four forces are in a deadly battle outside the tower.

Are the hero's the baddies? They certainly push those limits when they walk into a village of low-level aggressors at high noon like a band of rowdy individuals. Death follows in the wake of the heroes but also waits for them beneath the desert.

Zanner casts a powerful vote with what remains of a wizard council. The heroes then descend into the Archives of Kerahell to find the secret to key taken from Sir Kendal. Then, they are off across the world to a desert filled with orcs.

With group about to be torn apart, the Defenders meet and hash out their differences.  Pearcy and Paleek talk to royalty and meet a forgotten adversary. Then they all head to the fantasy superstore for some much needed shopping.

The Hero's find themselves hunted in the badlands outside the Oubliette, as they try to find a way back to to Navarre with the help of a gifted mapmaker.  And on the other side, Zanner reckons with the decisions that could split the party forever.

Boli, Pearcy, Sildren, and Yaru are persecuted at the Oubliette.  Weary and wounded, they are thrown back into the arena.  Even with help from an old friend, survival for all of them looks grim.

Many of the heroes are whisked away to a oppressive place called the Oubliette, where dangerous new enemies are made.  Back in the cold north of Verenn, Zanner, and Paleek search the remains of Char Ice's lair and wonder how to get back home.

Walls, confusion, so many ice shards, so much hellfire, betrayal, and one ancient, white dragon.  How will the heroes deal with it all?
