The heroes search for the fabled key to the Banewarrens in their efforts to stop the chaos cult and the dark powers of Morien from destroying the city.

The heroes have explored deep into a volcano in their search for a Lacian gate. Their quest is to seal the gate once and for all to prevent their nemesis from getting free. There is just one small catch...somewhere in this massive cavern, the dragon Karverath lies in wait, ready to slay anyone approaching the gate.

A farewell ceremony is held in the rain before the heroes head out to the Dusk Mountains. There, they encounter a fierce hill giant in their search for another Lacian gate.

The battle continues against Lissiar with the heroes surrounded by stygian skeletons, lich hounds, and the undead queen herself. Dark water blocks the heroes path and closes in on them from behind. The situation grows more dangerous and grim with each passing moment. And another step in Morien's plan to dominate the world is revealed.

Unsure of how to pursue the cultists deeper into the Banewarrens, the heroes explore an ominous mausoleum that appeared overnight in the Necropolis. Inside, they find a nightmarish enemy that threatens to tear the group apart.

Leaving the Banewarrens, the heroes look for answers on how to access the inner vaults in pursuit of the chaos cult. They must also confront Pireal, the man dressed in black they've known for months and whose ancient prison they just discovered. And Puck searches out a mysterious mausoleum that appeared overnight in the Necropolis.

The heroes enter the breach into the Banewarrens and make unsettling discoveries.

With rumors spreading that evil forces have broken into the Banewarrens, the heroes look for any sign of the infamous vaults beneath the city. Along the way, they help out their old friend Vakeer, the bard and terrorize a poor man and his cheese shop.

Puck and Elmon drop by a mercenary guild house to pay Jorn, the one-eyed guard, a visit. The heroes are then visited at their manor by an odd man who tells the history of the first age of the world and the Banewarrens. And the elves of Iridthil's Home show their gratitude.
