61 years ago this month, something very strange happened just outside of Exeter, New Hampshire.

On September 3, 1965, 18 year old Norman Muscarello reported seeing a large object with brilliant red lights near a farm in Kensington NH.

What makes the story especially interesting is that when Exeter police officers arrived to investigate, they reported seeing the object too.

And now, 61 years later, Exeter is getting ready for its annual UFO Festival this weekend. 

That made us think of an episode we did last year about the Incident at Exeter, so I thought I'd bring it back up for anyone who missed it, or anyone who's in the mood for a little UFO rabbit hole this weekend. 

It's one of those cases where you can keep asking the same question:

What exactly did they see that night?

And if you're anywhere near Exeter this weekend, the UFO Festival is happening downtown Saturday and Sunday 9/5-9/6/26 with speakers, activities, historical presentations and trolley tours to the original incident site.
