Originally launched in 2007 as a trio with Toni B, Silent Extent quickly rose through the ranks with releases on international labels like Viper Recordings, Close 2 Death, and others. Known for their versatile style — the group performed across Switzerland and abroad, including the U.S.. After pausing the project in 2012, the silence lasted more than a decade.

This new release finds the duo refining their signature sound—a blend of atmospheric depth and visceral intensity. “Static Contrast” and “Lawless Terrain” serve as two sides of the same darkly gleaming coin, showcasing the dynamic range that has become their trademark.

Dissident put on their final epic party in 2010 but Kimbr continued DJing and in 2017 restarted his production journey. His tracks draw on influences from in and out of the dnb scene, bringing in the cinematic tension and dystopian aesthetic of science fiction, the swag of old skool hip hop and crushing basses reminiscent of guitar riffs, all contained within the recognisable sonics and structures of early 2000s drum and bass.
