Inner Journey with Greg Friedman welcomes Paul Pondella with the Shadowland Foundation. Paul is the founder, has been rescuing wild animals and bringing them to safety his entire life. A dyslexic and troubled child, his education came from his innate connection to animals and nature. This gave him a sense of purpose that ultimately saved his future.
In 1978, at the age of 18, taking a judge’s advice to get his act together, Paul put his love of the outdoors to work and started mowing lawns, trimming trees...starting the most prestigious tree maintenance company in Los Angeles. He became certified in CPR and First Aid for animals and assisted the SPCA in rescuing wild animals; in particular, wolves. After adopting Shadow and then Alaska, Paul started training them with the best wild animal trainer in the motion picture industry to prepare them for programs working with children. Shortly after meeting Colette, and inspired by Shadow, Paul’s lifelong dream was initiated...Shadowland Foundation.

  • Inner Journey with Greg Friedman and Fascism
WHAT IS FASCISM AND HOW TO FIGHT IT!!!!
Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology. It prioritizes the perceived interest and glory of the nation over individual rights, often relying on dictatorial leadership, strict social and economic regimentation, militarism, and the violent suppression of opposition. [1, 2, 3]
    Key characteristics of fascism include:
    • Extreme Nationalism: Absolute loyalty to the state or ethnic group, placing national unity above individual liberties. [1, 2]
    • Dictatorial Power: Centralized, autocratic leadership that rejects democratic processes, pluralism, and liberalism. [1, 2]
    • Scapegoating: Fixation on real or perceived national decline and the blaming of minority groups, foreigners, or political dissidents for societal problems. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
    • Militarism and Violence: The embrace of physical force, paramilitarism, and aggressive warfare as tools for political progress and "national cleansing". [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
    • State and Corporate Integration: Strong regimentation of the economy and society, often fusing state power with corporate interests. [1, 2]

The ideology first emerged in early 20th-century Europe, most notably in Italy under Benito Mussolini and Nazi Germany under Adolf Hitler. You can read more about the historical regimes and ideologies on the Holocaust Encyclopedia. [1, 2, 3]

  • Inner Journey with Greg Friedman and SELF-LOVE AND COMPASSION
When we think of a muse it is often associated with some beautifully inpiring sweet moment or creature and while that is absolutely an expression of the muse, the catalyst for inspiration and growth most often comes through the shadow. It is our opportunity to avail ourselves of the gifts that we are offered no matter which way it presents itself.
