In this episode, we get honest and a little bit vulnerable about our experience of cultivating a sense of belonging in a new place and we share some tips and tricks about how to make the people around you, whoever they are, feel welcomed and valued.

This is part two of Sayed's unbelievable story in which he goes over his experience since arriving in Iceland as a refugee, his time in Iceland's refugee camps, and his interactions with Icelandic policy-makers and politicians.... and it is probably fair to say that it has not been all sunshine and rainbows. In this episode, we share the first of two parts of Sayed's story. Originally from Afghanistan, Sayed was forced to flee his homeland as Taliban forces grew stronger and stronger in his region of the country. He tells the unbelievable story of how he tried twice to flee the country - a story filled with inconceivable violence as well as moments of great beauty and goodness. His journey from Afghanistan to Europe shaped who is is as a person today, and we were honoured to be able to receive him.

In this episode, we spoke to Kathryn Gunnarsson who is one of the founders of Geko, a rapidly growing and highly innovative recruitment agency in Iceland that has received three nominations for the Nordic Start-Up awards. Originally from the UK, Kathryn moved to Iceland in 2016 with her Icelandic husband and young family without knowing a single person and, in the face of a devastating personal trauma, has been able to build a thriving business and a gorgeous family and we had the pleasure of being to pick her brains and find out how.

In this episode, we spoke to fellow ~innlendingur~ Nicolai Engelbrecht - a healer, speaker, guide, author and much, much more . He spoke to us about his drastic transformation from a life of organized crime to a life that is dedicated to helping others to overcome obstacles, whatever they may be, and to live a happier and more fulfilled life.

In this episode, we sat down with Caroline Cheron, an interior designer, mother, and adventurer from France, who made the brave decision to relocate to Iceland with her family after having fallen in love with the country as a tourist.
