In this episode, our community coordinator, Patrycja, interviews Alicja Olszewska, a PhD candidate researching neuromusicology. Together, they discuss how learning to play an instrument can be used to investigate brain plasticity.

Recently, we had the opportunity to interview Gabi and Jan, two representatives of SateLink—a group of high school students competing in the annual International CanSat competition. Alongside four other team members, they are diligently working on designing and constructing a satellite the size of a can. If successful, their creation will be launched into the stratosphere. The team has already advanced to the second phase of the competition.

The CanSat competition is an international challenge organized by the European Space Agency, providing students with the opportunity to work on a small-scale space project. Each team must design and build their own can-sized simulation of a real satellite.

During our interview, we learned firsthand from Gabi, the reports manager for the Satelink team, and Jan, the team leader and systems engineer, about the specifics of their project and their plans looking ahead.
