Sublogos bringing one back from the dead for the Halloween season with this session originally recorded back in late 2014. It was the twilight of the original Inorganic years. The club space was starting to feel a bit less important to us and life was ready to move on. This mix got caught in the cross-fire of changing priorities and ended up collecting dust on the cutting room floor. Returning now over a decade later, it brings back a lot of memories from a specific time and place. As far as music was concerned dubstep had long folded, locked into a chafing repetition of dull motifs and cliches. And a load of discount deep house was polluting the airwaves. But buried in amidst all of this was a shimmer of something else - an emerging kind of hybrid, global club music sharing some of its DNA with the basement dwelling UK-hardcore progeny we all loved (and which kicked off this whole Inorganic thing to begin with). This mix is a window into that era, as “scenes” were dissolving and club music was scattering in a thousand different directions. It also goes pretty hard. Built for maximum volume and, if the spirit takes you, maybe a few out of the fridge as well.

Distal - Nomodawah's Tomb [Anarchostar]
Sublogos and Soek pass through in a heavy-lidded mode, primed for dim lights and late nights. Taking in a broad cross-section of downtempo with the rhythmic elements straining at the leash throughout. We cut through fractured jungle, Mancunian soul, and 4th world percussive workouts, leaning into a whole heap of tracks stitched together two or three at a time for texture and mood.

Perila - Message From Another Table [sferic]
Soek and //conall work their way through an eclectic mix of energetic electronica and percussive bass music in form of a live b2b broadcast. The halfway point sees them returning to their modus operandi within a wide range of contemporary 170bpm beats, varying from the spacious atmospheric to technical sound design and staggered brakes.
