Welcome to the eleventh episode of the Inside Marine podcast. We are joined by Marc Godden, Director and Founder of Black Gang Marine. With involvement in boats since youth, Marc Godden is stooped with passion for everything on the water. After school, he served an apprenticeship in Marine Engineering, which laid the path for a solid and course-setting career.
Shortly after, Marc was awarded ‘The Queen’s Silver Medal for Shipwright Apprentice of The Year 2007’. Quickly moving into a new employment position, his knowledge and experience built further, to improve the scope and technical nature of his abilities.
Then after several years of valuable experience in OEM engine overhauls, rebuilds, and installations, he moved back into the after-sales motor yacht support sector, fulfilling a demanding position in the after-sales team at Princess Motor Yachts.
Marc now heads BGM, from their offices in Port Solent, he, and his skilled team plan to utilise every element of their combined broad history within the marine industry; Completely stalwart in ensuring the company achieves its aim of being the market leader for independent technical vessel service and support on the South Coast.
