When Brian Low was murdered on a quiet country lane in Perthshire, it required an intense police investigation. He had been out walking his dog when he was apparently gunned down. But this isn’t a place where gun crime is common. Murder is almost unheard of. And Brian had few enemies. Over the following months, detectives speak to hundreds of witnesses, take dozens of statements, and gradually piece together a case. Their suspect is an unlikely one, a 77-year-old former gamekeeper, who lives nearby.
