Inside R Phillies

Jeremy and Joe react to reports that the Phillies have a meeting set with Bo Bichette and how that could force major roster moves that we have wanted for a long time. How will they handle the payroll crunch?

They also cover Bryce Harper’s controversial shirt, the signing of Tucker Davidson from the KBO for pitching depth, and talk about how arbitration figures will shape offseason decisions.

We hope that everyone enjoyed their holidays! Inside R Phillies is back, even though the Phillies have been quiet. Zach Pop has signed a major league deal with the Phillies to join their bullpen, and the Phillies plans on the major Japanese players has been made clear - note that this was recorded before Okamoto signed on 1/3, what we say is still relevant though!

After that, Jeremy and Joe go surfing on random Baseball Reference pages, with lots of interesting discussions coming up. Hopefully you all enjoyed this new segment, please let us know!

This has been an active week for the Phillies! Matt Strahm is out, and Brad Keller is in. How does this change the bullpen going into 2026, and did the Phillies make the right choice? Also, there are rumors circulating that the Phillies are considering catching options that are not JT Realmuto. Do we believe these rumors, and what else could the Phillies do?

This may have been a quiet week for the Phillies, but a more exciting one likely awaits. With it being rumored that Kyle Schwarber will sign his next contract during next week's Winter Meetings, we discuss how much we really want him back, and how we expect the week to go. The Hall of Fame votes are starting to trickle in, and there's lots of Phillies connections on the ballot this year. The Nationals and Mariners made an interesting trade on Saturday... Should the Phillies have been in on it? Also, Bryce Harper made an interesting internet post that certainly got people talking. All of this, and more, in today's episode!

As we await the Winter Meetings, things remain slow across the MLB landscape. Join us today for a recap of the last week of baseball, including the Brandon Nimmo/Marcus Semien trade, and Dylan Cease's signing with Toronto. What does this mean for the Phillies? Later in the episode, we'll discuss rules that we'd like to see changed in MLB's offseason structure. Should we go back to Type A free agents?
