Britt's late grandfather Bill Fair, and then his father David Fair, owned and operated Hexter-Fair Title Company, which was originally founded in Dallas in 1916. Britt joined David at Hexter-Fair in 2004 to learn the business and worked his way up the company ladder. When David sold Hexter-Fair to First American in 2012, Britt stayed aboard and ran the DFW operation for First American for almost 4 years. But Britt missed the ability for a local company to make its own decisions on client and employee matters, so at the end of 2015, Britt founded Fair Texas Title.
