Inside The Eagles RedZone episodes

  • Accountability & The Bottom Of The Division?
We begin the show a little differently today. With the MLB trade deadline passing last night; there's media members raging out like uninformed fans about moves and non-moves. We take a look at the moves that were made, how the Phillies did actually upgrade, and why there's so much "outrage". Is it justified? We discuss why radio hosts need to be better and actually inform the audience.

Then it's time to move on to the NFC South. Starting with New Orleans, we take a look at a team that has to know they're a few years away. With an aging defense, an OL coming off a bad year, and a huge question at QB, what is this Saints team?

We end the show talking about the Panthers, and both of us are potentially excited. There's discussions about the defensive additions, how they could improve, and what should we see from Bryce Young in 2025. Was the benching last year the best thing for him? Did they make enough additions at WR to bolster the offense?

  • These The Favorites? | NFC North Part 2- Lions & Vikings
We put a bow on the NFC North in this episode, providing a preview for the Lions and Vikings. These two both made the playoffs a year ago, but will be looking a little different in comparison to last season.

We start with the Lions. The darling of the NFL world, the Lions are in a very new position for them. They're very talented, but are coming off of a horrible playoff loss. To add to it, they lost both their OC and DC this offseason. We know the Lions have talent. However, how much will they be impacted by losing two important coaches on their staff?

It's then off to Minnesota to look at the Vikings. Again, a playoff team a year ago, they moved on from Darnold and now it's McCarthy's turn. They tried to upgrade their OL and their defense, but what is to be expected of them? Do they have a weakness?

  • QB Questions & Expectations | NFC North Part 1 - Bears & Packers
ITERZ is on to the NFC and we begin in the NFC North. Part 1 of our coverage of this division begins with the Bears and Packers. A new coach for Chicago, and a Wildcard loss for the Packers have one of the most interesting divisions in all of football wondering how these teams will shake out.

Chicago is covered first and there's plenty of intrigue around this squad. Ben Johnson left Detroit to work with Caleb Williams. What type of impact will this have on Caleb heading into year 2? We take a look at their WR core, OL improvements, and a pretty solid defense to determine what the Bears' ceiling is. Also, plenty of discussion on Caleb Williams and the potential issues and growth we could see this season.

It's then on to Green Bay to discuss the Packers. A team with a stout defense themselves, what are the questions marks for the green and yellow? We take a look at what we need to see out of Jordan Love and how the loss of Jaire may impact the outside of what was a good defense just a year ago.

  • Kingdoms of Defense
The Around the NFL preview closes on the AFC with a preview of the Broncos and Chiefs. It starts in Denver; a team very optimistic heading into the new season. After a playoff berth and Nix showing upside, what can the offense be for the Broncos? Erik and Matt take a look at areas Nix could improve, if they have enough firepower at wide receiver, and how will the running game benefit the offense. When they swap over to the defense, it's nothing but praise. Denver's a legit threat with that defense alone.

It's then off to the Chiefs Kingdom to analyze Mahomes and company. While they too have a great defense, Matt and Erik look into the wide receivers and why Andy still hasn't learned. Mahomes is amazing but you have to feel for him. Do the ITERZ crew think KC has enough play makers to get back to the Superbowl?

  • ITERZ Goes West | AFC West Part 1
The final AFC division to preview is the AFC West. On this episode, Erik and Matt take a look at the Raiders and the Chargers. It's part 7 of their Around The NFL series, and this seems to be the most intriguing AFC division.

They begin in Vegas and take a deep look at what the Raiders plan is. Brady is officially a minority owner; they have a new head coach, a new OC, a new QB, and drafted Jeanty in the first round. While they did invest some free agent money on the defensive side of the ball, what's the realistic outlook for year 1 under Carroll? Erik and Matt don't feel too hot about the offense as a whole. How will Chip influence what the offense is? Are Bowers and Jeanty the only pieces to worry about for opposing teams?

It's then time to head over to LA and preview the Chargers. A team with a solid OL, a solid defense, and coming off of a playoff appearance, what are the expectations? There's been a lot of debate about QB rankings and where Herbert lies. Matt and Erik take a look at some interesting stats and if there could be a fundamental issue that Herbert needs to fix to improve his effectiveness.

  • Desperation & Delusion | AFC South Part 2 - Jaguars & Colts
Around The NFL continues with ITERZ wrapping up their preview of the AFC South. Titled Desperation and Delusion; Erik and Matt take a look at the Jaguars and Colts heading into this season. The fans and coverage of these two teams have our boys scratching their heads.

With Jacksonville; there is a lot of "they're going to shock the world" being thrown around. While there should be some optimism, Matt takes a look at why they could be better, but may not see a HUGE turnaround in year 1 of Coen. Do they have potential on offense to be great? Is the defense good enough to not be a hinderence?

They close discussing the Indianapolis Colts. This is a team that has the fans and those covering the team completely desperate. They take a look at the roster, including the lack of QB, and just how bad they were despite winning 8 games in 2024. Is Indy on the verge of turning it around, or could they be blowing it up?

  • The South Is Mid? | AFC South Part 1: Texans & Titans
ITERZ continues their Around The NFL preview with Part 1 of the AFC South. Erik and Matt provide their insight and look at the rosters of two teams on the opposite side of expectations in the South.

They begin looking at the Houston Texans. A team that should be the overwhelming favorite to win the division, the Texans are looking to build off of what was considered a down year. Yes, they won a playoff game, but the media were hyping the Texans as a Superbowl Contender going into 2024. With a new OC and OL changes, where do they think Houston is in the overall scheme of teams?

Then they work north to Tennessee and breakdown the Titans. Rookie QB Cam Ward will have a lot of work to do, as the roster on offense is just flat out....not good. They look at the weapons, OL, and defense to see what fans of Tennessee should be looking forward to in 2025.

  • Around the NFL | AFC North Part 2: Contender & Pretender
We wrap up the AFC North today, giving our preview of the Bengals and the Ravens.

The show begins discussing what exactly the Bengals are. There's plenty of love for Burrow and Chase, as deserved. However; there are more problems that aren't being talked about. Erik and Matt dig into the potential issues of their offensive line and how dire the defense is. Is Cinci a contender or a pretender?

The tide changes when it gets to the Ravens though. Coming off a rough loss in the playoffs, how are the Ravens looking? There's a lot of love for the secondary and the draft picks to build depth at edge rusher. But why isn't more being invested into making Lamar's job easier? Where do Erik and Matt have the Ravens in the AFC hierarchy?

  • Onto The North, Part 1 | Browns & Steelers
The Around The NFL continues, and they're now on to the AFC North. Today's show begins with a discussion on sports media hosts and their amnesia; especially with their inability to admit being wrong. Erik and Matt discuss their influence on the average fan and why it's okay to admit being wrong to improve the intelligence of the viewer.
It's then onto to the team discussion of the day. They start with the Cleveland Browns and what their outlook is for the 2025 season. A team with a good defense, what's going to be the big thing that holds them back?
When they get to Pittsburgh, they talk about TJ Watt's new deal, what Rodgers could really provide them, and they pose the question of "are the Steelers complacent?"
