I'm watching Misty, an American Sign Language teacher at the biggest high school in Oregon, try to crowdfund a trip for deaf students. Her school, David Douglas HS, has more than 3000 students. 60 languages are represented at the school with more than 70 birth countries. More than 75% of the students have free or reduced-lunch, so most of Misty's students have never been to another state. She hopes to take a group of 20 students to the east coast and have them tour Washington D.C. with World Strides.
