Perched high above the town of Proctor, Wilson Castle rises like something pulled straight from a gothic novel. Built in the late 1800s by John Wilson, this stone fortress blends many types of architecture into a place that feels more European than Vermont.

Over the decades, the castle has been touched by tragedy, loss, and stories that refuse to stay buried.
