Buried deep beneath the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts lies a railroad passage carved through stone, tragedy, and time, The Hoosac Tunnel. Stretching nearly five miles long, this engineering marvel was once called the great bore but many would come to know of it as... The Bloody Pit.
