Doctor bahu culture is prevalent in our society especially in Northern Pakistan where mothers seek only doctor girls for their sons. For the last 4-5 decades, this ongoing trend has affected several women adversely and made their lives a living hell. This resulted in several women battling depression and anxiety disorders due to constant societal pressures. In this episode, Maryam shares how being a perfect doctor bahu is still a challenge women have to face. Balancing work & personal life ain’t a piece of cake. But most importantly, how supportive families are the need of today’s day & age.

This episode revolves around Zupash, a medical doctor who shared her journey of becoming one, the obstacles she faced and how the society pushed her to quit her career altogether and opt for something she always wanted to become. Her story is all about her transition from being a med school student to a professional woman working in a multinational organisation.
