As we take a look at the origins and original meaning of the word “demon”, we also examine the meaning of the term “cast-out”. By understanding them together, we can better understand the work Jesus was doing as he freed people from their demons. We can also better understand how the light of Christ helps us to cast out our own demons.

This week we discuss and rediscover the word ‘spirit’. By taking a look at its Greek origin and meaning at the time of biblical writing, we can better understand the Holy Spirit, and how ‘spirit’ can lead to a ‘passion’.

What does it mean to have an unclean spirit? And how do we “cleanse” ourselves? In order to move up into higher realms of consciousness, we must understand the muck that lives inside of us. In joining with Christ to bring our subconscious workings to light, we can better understand and create interactions with this world.
