Insights with Jonathan Edwards

Restored, Led, and Carried Through

In this second message of our series, we journey through Psalm 23:3–6 — a powerful picture of restoration, guidance, protection, and overflowing goodness.

“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me…”

The Shepherd doesn’t just provide—He restores what’s been worn down, renews the soul, and leads us in the right paths. Even in life’s darkest valleys, we are never alone. His presence drives out fear, His rod and staff bring comfort, and His table is prepared in the presence of our enemies.

This is a life not just sustained—but overflowing.

In this message, discover how:

• God restores your mind, will, and emotions

• The Shepherd leads you in righteousness, not confusion

• His presence removes fear even in dark valleys

• You can experience comfort, authority, and victory in every season

• Your life becomes a testimony of goodness, mercy, and overflow

Restored, Led, and Carried Through

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

In this insightful message, John Edwards unpacks the rich and often overlooked truths found in Matthew 18, bringing clarity to what it really means to be the Church.

Focusing on Jesus’ words, “Where two or three gather in My name, there am I with them,” John reveals that the Church is not defined by buildings or numbers, but by the presence of Christ among His people. Even the smallest gathering carries divine authority and significance when centred on Him.

Drawing from Matthew 18:18–20, he explores the spiritual authority given to believers—to bind and loose in alignment with heaven—and how unity in prayer releases God’s will on the earth. But this authority is deeply connected to the heart condition of the Church.

Moving through the chapter, John highlights a powerful truth: forgiveness is not optional—it is a law of God’s Kingdom.

From restoring those who fall, to the parable of the unmerciful servant, Matthew 18 reveals that relational integrity, humility, and forgiveness are essential for true Kingdom living.

This message will challenge and strengthen your understanding of community, authority, and the necessity of walking in forgiveness as a reflection of Christ.

Key Themes:

• The true meaning of “where two or three are gathered”
• Spiritual authority: binding and loosing
• The power of agreement in prayer
• Church as a relational, Spirit-filled community
• Forgiveness as a Kingdom principle and law

Scripture References:

Matthew 18:18–20, Matthew 18:21–35

In this compelling message, John Edwards brings to life the powerful connection between Isaiah 61 and Luke 4, revealing the mission and ministry of Jesus through the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus stood in the synagogue and declared, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me…”, He was fulfilling the prophecy spoken in Isaiah—announcing not only who He was, but what He was anointed to do. This wasn’t just a moment in history; it is a blueprint for Spirit-filled living today.

John unpacks the anointing in two clear expressions: the anointing to preach and the anointing to heal.

Through Scripture, he highlights three dimensions of preaching—bringing good news to the poor, proclaiming freedom to the captives, and declaring the year of the Lord’s favour. He also reveals three powerful aspects of healing—restoring sight to the blind, healing the brokenhearted, and setting the oppressed free.

This message will awaken a deeper understanding that the same Spirit that rested upon Jesus now lives in every believer. You are not called to simply hear the message—you are called to carry it, empowered by the anointing to preach truth and release healing in a broken world.

Key Themes:

• The fulfilment of Isaiah 61 in Luke 4
• The purpose of the anointing in Jesus’ ministry
• Three dimensions of preaching the Gospel
• Three expressions of healing through the Spirit
• Walking in the same anointing today

Scripture References:

Isaiah 61:1–3, Luke 4:18–19

Experience a prophetic message of turnaround and increase:

"Enlarge the Place of Your Tent: God's Call to Breakthrough."

Isaiah 54 calls the barren woman to sing, shout for joy, and enlarge her tent—even when everything looks impossible.

God declares fruitfulness over dryness, increase over decrease, restoration over ruin, and "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" as your unbreakable heritage.

When circumstances scream barrenness, failure, or delay, heaven proclaims favor, future, and miracle.

Walk by faith, not sight: Speak God's Word, praise before the answer comes, decree His promises, and take bold action—like Abraham believing against hope.

This is your season to agree with heaven, proclaim the promise, prepare for harvest, and watch God expand your influence, territory, and breakthrough.

No more barren seasons—only enlargement, victory, and fruitfulness in Christ. Step out in faith today and see manifestation!

Podcast Title:

The Anointing Oil: A Picture of the Holy Spirit

In this powerful message, John Edwards explores the deep spiritual significance of the anointing oil as revealed in Exodus, drawing from the life and ministry of Moses.

In the Old Testament, the anointing oil was sacred—set apart to consecrate priests, sanctify the tabernacle, and mark those chosen by God for His divine purpose. But beyond the physical, it points to a greater reality.

John unpacks how the anointing oil is a prophetic picture of the Holy Spirit—God’s presence not just resting upon individuals, but dwelling within His people today. Just as Moses was instructed to anoint Aaron and the instruments of worship, we now live in a new covenant where the Spirit anoints believers for intimacy, service, and power.

This message will stir your hunger to walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, understanding that the same God who met Moses in the wilderness now desires to fill and empower you. Discover how the anointing is not just symbolic—it is transformational, equipping you to carry God’s presence into every area of life.

Key Themes:

• The purpose of the anointing oil in Exodus
• Moses and the pattern of consecration
• The connection between Old Testament symbols and the Holy Spirit
• Living anointed in the New Covenant
•

Exodus 30:22–33, Exodus 40:9–15

God of Miracles: When Faith Touches Power

“You are the God who performs miracles; You display Your power among the peoples.” (Psalm 77:14)

In this episode, we encounter the God who still works wonders—not distant, not silent, but present and powerful. From the testimony of Psalm 77 to the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5, we see a faith that reaches through the crowd and touches the power of God.

For twelve years, she suffered. For twelve years, she was overlooked, excluded, and without answers. But in one moment of bold faith, everything changed. She didn’t wait for a platform—she pressed through. She didn’t have a title—she had faith. And when she touched Jesus, power flowed, and her life was made whole.

This episode will stir your faith to believe again:

• That God is still the God of miracles

• That no situation is beyond His power

• That faith, even in weakness, can access His presence

• That one touch from Jesus can change everything

If you’ve been waiting, hoping, or contending for a breakthrough—this message is for you. The God who performed miracles then is still moving today.

What is the difference between the anointing, the glory, and the power of God—and how do they work together in the life of a believer?

In this episode of Insights with Jonathan Edwards, we hear a compelling message from John Edwards, a respected minister who has faithfully served churches around the world for more than four decades.

Drawing from Scripture and years of ministry experience, this message will inspire believers to pursue a deeper relationship with God and walk more fully in what He has made available.

Be encouraged as you discover how God’s anointing, glory, and power are not distant ideas—but realities meant to shape our lives, our faith, and our service to others.
