When David started his new business, he was full of ideas and plans. He worked long hours, researched the market, and built a strong team. But he didn’t take time to ask God for direction. Months later, he was exhausted, financially drained, and unsure of his next step. In prayer, he finally surrendered his plans to God—and within weeks, doors opened that he couldn’t have forced on his own.
Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds us that life works best when we start with God, not add Him in later. Trusting Him with all our heart means relying on His wisdom, not just our own logic, experience, or skills. It means inviting Him into decisions—big or small—before we act.
Starting with God is like using a map before a journey. Without it, we might still get somewhere, but with unnecessary detours and frustrations. With Him, our path becomes straighter, our steps surer, and our hearts lighter.
