Linda Moran is the author of The Perks of Hospice: Stories of Love, Life, and Loss. Linda fills the book with intimate personal stories as well as practical checklists for those facing similar journeys. Linda was married to Dean for 45 years and they did everything together, especially in their two decades as fiber artists, experimenting with an ancient paper process on fabric. Their art provided a needed respite from medical reality and helped them create a lasting legacy at the end of their lives together. For over two years, including through the pandemic, they were cared for by an amazing team of hospice workers. To carry out her husband's love of helping others, Linda Moran decided to write about their experiences. This is a special gift for us so we can make plans and be more informed about end-of-life care.

Lucy Ashe is an English and Drama teacher based in New York City and is also an author whose newest historical novel is "The Sleeping Beauties." Before moving onto teaching, Lucy trained at the Royal Ballet School in London, and the rigors of that training factor largely in her writing. Lucy wonderfully weaves the story of ballet and the arts during WWII, with variations of the Sleeping Beauty fairytale. The interweaving of 3 generations of women is a compelling story within Lucy's manuscript.
