Fleeing for his life, Jacob stumbles into an encounter with God he never saw coming — a stairway to heaven, a staggering promise, and a vow that reveals just how little he understands who God is. Dr. John unpacks Jacob's famous dream at Bethel to ask a pointed question: are we worshipping God, or just trying to strike a deal with him? True faith, he argues, isn't bargaining for blessing — it's total surrender.

Listen in, and be challenged to live with integrity even when the world around you feels like it's falling apart.

The sick will be restored in resurrection bodies; the hungry will feast at the marriage supper of the Lamb. Have we come to Jesus to receive a place in this new creation? Are we delighting in the prospect of joining him there?
