Dr. John teaches that "Eschatology and ethics are tied to each other." What we hope for will establish how we live. Since we have the blessed hope of Jesus' return, we ought to live holy lives. This world will go up in smoke, but we are looking to a new creation in which righteousness dwells.
Danger From Within: Jesus spoke of wolves in sheep's clothing. Paul warned of wolves among the flock. Peter alerts the Church of false teachers. It was a danger for the early church. It remains a challenge for today's Church. Listen as Dr. John unfolds 2 Peter for our caution and protection.

As Christ followers, we must have a robust understanding of suffering—and how God uses it to grow our dependence on Him. When we face suffering, we can easily be tempted to despair and rely on ourselves. Yet, it is often through this suffering that we are led into a beautiful reliance on the Lord. God has delivered us before, and he will do it again—sometimes in our trials and sometimes through them. So what are we called to do in our suffering? And how can we become people who pray for others who are struggling? We address these questions today on Live in the Light. Pastor Robbie is teaching from 2 Corinthians 1:8-11.
