Here is a rebuke for the believer who has not made appropriate progress in the faith. And here is a warning that is designed to keep us close to Jesus—and to unsettle any who may not be truly converted. But the comfort is that true believers are safe in Christ because God’s promise and saving action in Jesus is our sure hope, an anchor for the soul.

Prayer is what fuels the Christian spiritual life. Jesus gave us the Lord's Prayer as a template for how we ought to pray, and he himself modelled a life of constant, intimate prayer to his father. Similarly, we too are to pray without ceasing because this is what renews our minds, keeps us in God's will, and protects us from falling to temptation. Pastor Robbie teaches that God loves and blesses the Christ-follower who prayerfully depends on him! We're in Matthew 6 on Live in the Light.
