Tune in as we discuss with our featured alumni, Jocelyn Ortiz, what it is like to be a Latina woman in STEM. Here, she shares her experiences, thoughts about imposters syndrome, and tips about how to find your support system when working in industry!

More about our featured speaker: Jocelyn Ortiz is Ecuadorian and from Chicago, Illinois. She is a first-generation student and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan--Ann Arbor in 2021. While at the university, she was the 2020-2021 President of our SHPE Chapter and also held other leadership positions. Currently, Jocelyn is working as a clinical account specialist at Biosense Webster with Johnson and Johnson.
